M&S Corrosion Control incorporated the sheeting refurbishment facet into the organization after recognising the need there for in the industry.

Although sheeting refurbishment is not directly affiliated with the corrosion control industry, the outcome of these two processes is often of a similar nature, which encouraged M&S Corrosion Control to incorporate this facet into the organization. Since incorporating this facet into the organization for the last 10 years, M&S Corrosion Control has been involved in most key projects, such as:

High Pressure Cleaning forms part of our services which M&S Corrosion Control offers to our clients. HP Cleaning is an activity being performed by M&S Corrosion Control on continuous intervals, as it forms part of the coating application and surface preparation process.

High Pressure Cleaning

Ultra-High-Pressure Cleaning

Ultra-High-pressure cleaning is suitable for a variety of applications throughout industries. Specialised equipment in conjunction with automated cleaning equipment are used to perform such activities.

M&S has originated a fabrication workshop at our Head Office, equipped with a vast variety of machinery, from where all Turn-key Projects are managed. As an organization only recently partaking in this field, we have already been involved in large scale projects, proving that we are capable and qualified to perform such tasks. M&S is an approved Asbestos Demolition and Removal Contractor, registered with the Department of Labour.

M&S offers a holistic approach in the remediation and removal of asbestos materials, which will include the process from scoping to the final handover of the final clearance certificate to the client, all executed in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993, including all specifications listed in the Asbestos Regulations, as well as the National Environmental Management Act 107 of 1998.

M&S will ensure you peace of mind in knowing that abatement practices are executed safely and within the given timeframe, leaving you, the client, satisfied and without risk. This detailed process will include:

• Survey Reporting (Report contain the full quantification and type of asbestos to be removed from a specific area including recommendations and preferred actions to be taken. Report compiled by a competent and authorised AIA).
• DOL notification (this notification needs to be submitted to the DOL before commencement of any works).
• Plan of Work (the POW will include the risk analyses & assessment complete with relevant remedial actions and precautions to be adhered to).
• Plan of Work Breaking or dismantling of asbestos materials
• Safe packaging of asbestos materials
• Monitoring and inspection by an approved Asbestos Inspection Authority (AIA).
• Transportation and Safe disposal of asbestos materials transported to an approved and registered landfill site, for which the safe disposal certificates will be issued to the client.
• Site clearance certificate handover to the client wherein declaring the site asbestos free, either partially or in full, after which a certificate issued by the AIA.

Numerous asbestos works have been completed in the mining and industrial sector. The asbestos personal is yearly trained and updated with regards to the asbestos regulations pertaining to the removal and dismantling works. A medical certificate is also done on a yearly basis.

We submit a safety file to the client for each asbestos job which includes all relevant safety requirements and specifications requested by the client.
